| com.prozima.pengine | The Prozima Planning Engine (PEngine) provides classes that facilitate the creation of and manipulation of projects, schedules and resources. |
| com.prozima.time | The Prozima time package provides classes which greatly extend the time management capabilities of the standard Java libraries. |
PEngine, the Prozima Planning Engine, is a library which facilitates the creation of complex portfolios of projects, containing multiple schedules, activities, milestones and resources. PEngine's algorithms can calculate the optimum allocation of resources across all projects so that time and cost goals are met.
Each project can contain multiple schedules and baselines, which allows the evaluation of alternative schedules. Resources can be allocated to activities in multiple projects. Each resource has its own timetable which controls the resource's availability. A cost table which contains modifiable cost rules allows exact control over costs.
PEngine also provides support for Work Breakdown Structures. Each WBS consists of a hierarchy of multiple WBS components. Activities and milestones within each schedule can be assigned to WBS components. WBS components are shared across projects, which allows WBS name or hierarchy changes to propagate across projects.
PEngine's state is not persistent, therefore the state of the library must be queried and saved before termination.
